How Reiki helps you see yourself clearly, gently, and truthfully

Reiki training is often described as a healing practice, but for many students, something deeper unfolds beneath the surface: self-realization.

This awakening isn’t loud or dramatic. It’s subtle. Soft. A remembering. A returning to the truth of who you are.

During Reiki Level I, as students begin practicing self-Reiki, their inner worlds start to open. Emotions rise. Intuition strengthens. And visions or insights often appear with clarity that feels both surprising and deeply familiar.

These aren’t random moments. This is the beginning of seeing yourself energetically, intuitively, and spiritually.

A Student’s Vision: Connection, Source, and the Wheel of Life

Recently, a Reiki I student shared a beautiful moment of insight during her self-Reiki practice:

As Reiki moved through me, I felt my energy sink like roots into the Earth while my arms reached upward like branches toward the ether. The flow moved in both directions: Source into me, me into the Earth, and her steady energy rising back again. In that exchange, I felt the truth of our connection — a quiet, natural cycle where we nourish each other in an endless wheel of life.

This is self-realization in motion. Not a thought, not a concept, but an embodied knowing.

A Deepening for Practitioners, Too

Reiki doesn’t only open new pathways for beginners. It continues to evolve your practice no matter how long you’ve been working with energy.

A Reiki practitioner recently came to me for a reattunement, and afterward, he shared that he felt instantly more connected to Source. He described renewed sensation in his hands and said his self-Reiki felt more powerful and effective than it had in years.

My Own Journey: Finding Source in Costa Rica

When I received my first attunement, I wasn’t just beside a waterfall in Costa Rica. I was sitting right in it, surrounded by the living water and the vibrant energy of the jungle. As my Reiki Master attuned me, I saw soft pink hearts swelling and expanding in my mind’s eye, growing larger and larger.

I wasn’t beside the waterfall. I was sitting in it, surrounded by living water, jungle energy, and the purest connection to Source I had ever felt.

In that moment, something in me awakened. I had never felt so alive, never so deeply connected to the Earth and everything around me. It was more than an experience, it was a remembering. A clear, gentle truth rising from within.

And right there, in that flow of Earth and Source, I realized I wanted to share this gift with others. That heart-centered realization continues to guide my path, and it’s something I love helping my students discover in their own unique way, each in the timing and expression that is uniquely theirs.
